Mr. Rob May
Rob May is CEO of ABE, a multinational skills development organisation. Based in London, UK, ABE operates across the world and has enjoyed a successful presence in CARICOM for many years. Rob has held senior roles in some of the world’s most respected education brands including City & Guilds, YMCA and Cambridge Assessment.
Rob is also a member of the Global Advisory Board at the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council and a Board member at the UK Federation of Awarding Bodies and Chair of its International Forum. He has given evidence and advice to various ministerial policy groups in the UK and all over the world, and is the founder and driving force behind the Business Stay-Up campaign.
Rob has a particular passion for tackling intellectual poverty in developing countries and believes that education and human capital is the basis for trade, security and equality within and amongst nations. Earlier this year, Rob was awarded the honour of Friend of UNESCO by UN Ambassador Princess Victoria Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire of Lagos for his work on actualising the UN Sustainable Development Goals 4, 8 and 9 in Nigeria
